Movie Review: Witness (1985)
Man did I love this movie. Harrison Ford stars as John Book, a detective who must inflitrate an amish community in order to get information from one of the amish kids, who witnessed the murder of a man in an airport bath room. I really loved this movie the most because of the chemistry between the characters. Ford's character interacts really well with the mother of the amish kid. I'm being vague about names because they seem to have escaped me. Another thing that makes this movie awesome is Harrison Ford's commitment to this role. Harrison has played a detective like 1000 times. However, he always manages to make a different character from the same description. What makes this movie even more awesome is the set designs. When Harrison gets to the amish community, the set literally looks like and makes you feel like you are in an actual amish community. The houses are made to look like antiques and the equipment that people use to acomplish things are extremely accurate. Overall, Witness is a fun ride for just about anybody who likes good acting, and won't mind a little bit of blood. Three stars.
